All About White Willow…

• White Willow (Salix Alba) is a species of willow tree native to Europe and western/central Asia.
• The name derives from the white tone of the leaves, paler than most other willows, due to a covering of very fine silky white hairs.
• The white willow was introduced to the United States from Europe and can be found next to waterways throughout the US.
• The bark of the White Willow is the part of the tree which contains important chemical compounds used in medicine, and is easily removed in the spring when the sap begins to flow.

• The bark of White Willow contains the primary medicinal constituent salicin, which is a chemical similar to aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) and is responsible for the pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects of the herb.
• White Willow, though slower than aspirin to achieve an effect, tends to last longer than the synthetic forms of the chemical. Natural salicylic acid from White Willow is nearly as potent as aspirin, but salicin from White Willow does not cause gastric or intestinal upset

• The Celtic tradition uses a tree alphabet and assigns tree associations to the wheel of the year in an astrological system. In magical associations, White Willow represents romantic love, healing, protection and fertility.
• In China, the willow is also a symbol of immortality because of its long life.
• In Louisiana folk medicine, White Willow leaves are used to treat fever by laying on the cool leaves, when the leaves become warm, it means the fever had transferred into them.
• White Willow smoke is believed to sooth and guide the souls of the dead.

Who is Billy Boy on Poison?

Billy Boy on Poison is an LA-based rock and roll quintet that is blowing audiences away with its infectious energy and eclectic style - a mash-up of classic, alternative, punk, and prog.

• The band is lead by one-named, teenage phenom Davis, who has the charisma of a youthful David Bowie or Mick Jagger.

Who’s Paul Wall?

Paul Wall is a multi-talented rapper, DJ and promoter as well as a jeweler. He was previously a member of Houston hip-hop group The Color Changin’ Click (or CCC).

Paul Wall is affiliated with Swishahouse Records, with which he released several albums while also collaborating with other rappers signed to the same label. He formerly partnered with rapper Chamillionaire, they released several albums together, including the independently released ‘Get Ya’ Mind Correct’.

In 2005, he was signed to Atlantic Records and became successful with his major-label debut ‘‘The Peoples Champ.”

Paul Wall is currently a member of the rap group Expensive Taste with his good friends Travis Barker and Skinhead Rob.

Skullcap: Another Integral Ingredient in Crunk!! Energy Drink

Skullcap (Scutellaria) is an herbaceous perennial mint with ridged leaves.

Skullcap gets its name from its blue flowers, which have two “lips” and are like the skullcaps worn in medieval times. Skullcap is also sometimes called “Mad Dog,” (or ‘Mad Dog Weed’) in reference to its historical use in treating the symptoms of rabies, which can result from the bite of a rabid dog.
